A Womanly Wisdom is one writer’s dumping ground. My name is Nancy, and I am a mother, a teacher, and a writer who, through the circumstances of life, has adopted and embraced a belief in simple living. I am a life-long teacher who has taught every age, from toddlers to university students, and I am blessed in this calling. I have been haunted and daunted by the desire to write for over 40 years, which has become a habit of mind and hands in the on-going search for peace of mind and understanding in a wild, strange and illogical world. I am domestically inclined, a lover of water and woods, powerfully opinionated, sweet natured and a raging bull; I am an American woman with every flaw and perfection intact. The simplicity of my life brings me joy, peace, and a sense of gratitude, particularly in the dim light of my desk lamp where, this night, I hope you enjoy this site and find something of value.
